A plum is a small sweet fruit with a smooth red or yellow skin and a stone in the middle.
Their primary producers are Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir and called 'Aloo Bukhara' as it derives 'Aloo' from Persian for plum and 'Bukhara' indicating the source from the Balkan region (mostly Uzbekistan). Plum juice can be fermented into plum wine.
